1999 Summer I - SLIS 5670 - "A Prairie Health Companion"
The University of North Texas School of Library & Information Science Health Informatics class, in cooperation with the Prairie AHEC, created a web-based Consumer Health Guide for the citizens of North Texas who are served by the Prairie AHEC.  This guide provides consumer health information resources to promote the general health and well being of all citizens in the area.

2000 Fall - SLIS 5637 - Collection Development in the Preventive Medicine Subject Area of the Clinical Digital Library Project
The University of North Texas School of Library & Information Science Health Informatics class, in cooperation with The University of Alabama Medical Informatics class, developed subtopic ontologies, selected web-based resources and wrote annotations for the Preventive Medicine subject area of the Clinical Digital Library Project (CDLP). The CDLP is a research, teaching and service effort led by the two Schools of Library and Information Studies that seeks to develop and test a model for health sciences libraries to adopt in order to provide professional digital library services to their offsite (including rural) clinical users.

2000 Summer I - SLIS 5670 - Strategies for the Prevention of Hospital Closures in Rural Texas
The University of North Texas School of Library & Information Science Health Informatics class acted as information consultants for the Prairie AHEC and Jacksboro Hospital Administration in developing resources and community strategies for the prevention of hospital closures. Resources and strategies were compiled on web pages as annotated links to web-based materials.
