FEDERAL CIRCUIT COURT CASE LAW

Since 1993, all federal courts of appeals began offering electronic public access via the Pacer electronic bulletin board to their slip opinions through a system known as either Appellate Court Electronic Services (ACES) or Electronic Dissemination of Opinions System (EDOS. The Directory of Electronic Public Access Services to Automated Information in the United States Federal Courts is available on the Internet providing all of the needed information for users to retrieve or access federal opinions. A number of Internet sites offer access to all of the federal appellate court cases at one point. The Emory Law School's Courts Publishing Project (CPP), part of the broader Emory Legal Information Technology Environment (ELITE), electronically publishes the court decisions for a number of circuit courts. Beginning with the distribution of cases from the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals in 1994, decisions from the First, Fourth, Sixth, Seventh, Tenth, and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals have been added and are now distributed by Emory.
