ABSTRACT/SUMMARY OF THE STORY:

Kidnapped, then cast aside as an infant, this sickly child grew up to become a man admired throughout the nation. When did the indications of his remarkable future first shine through? For me, the signs of greatness can be seen in young George Washington Carver's thirst for knowledge.
