I love reading, languages, traveling, and animals. EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND M.S. Candidate in Library and Information

B. A. French STORYTELLING INTERESTS I became interested in storytelling while pursuing my M.S. in Library Science. I have always been interested in stories and am an avid reader. I was drawn to teaching because I was interested in sharing a love of stories and books with students. As a librarian I have an opportunity to use storytelling with a wider audience and expose hundreds of students to the joys of storytelling. I am an American mutt (Hungarian, Norwegian, French, German, and Mohawk ancestry) so I like stories from all over the world. I especially like fairy tales, traditional stories, myths, and epics. I like stories that explore character and emotion. I am interested in studying how storytelling can be used to teach and empower young people. MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION My interests include learning to play my great uncle’s violin and photography. I hope to include these two hobbies in with my storytelling adventures in the future. Eventually I hope to be a librarian overseas. My dream locations include Budapest, New Zealand, and Wales. |
