Kristy Price was raised in libraries all around southern Nevada. She has spent over 20 years as a professional working in Public Relations and Development for both Las Vegas-Clark County Library District and Henderson Libraries. During her professional training she has served on eight library-building committees in southern Nevada and in Utah.  Starting with a background in Shakespeare and theatre, she moved into the study of English literature resulting in her Bachelor of Arts, followed by a Master of Arts in Organizational Management (Summa Cum Laude) and finally scheduled to complete a Masters in Library and Information Sciences in Summer 2006.

M.S. candidate in Library and Information Science
University of North Texas

In addition to working in libraries, Kristy is an adjunct faculty member at the Community College and serves as a board member for the City’s Blue Ribbon Commission for Youth, Arts Council of Henderson and is an alumni and steering committee member for Leadership Henderson. She is an active member in her church and currently serves in the Stake Young Women’s Organization. In their spare time, the family hikes, camps and travels whenever they can.

Kristy has been storytelling professionally for almost ten years with her partner and husband, Eric Price (“Hand” of Hand to Mouth). Together they have combined their talents to form Hand to Mouth Storytelling. Using Kristy’s theatrical background and library experience coupled with Eric’s musicianship and antics, they are a highly interactive duo. While this concert does not illustrate their tandem telling, the original story told here was written as the Hand to Mouth team. Drumming and audience participation is a key to their telling style.

Kristy has been married to Eric for nearly twenty years and they share four beautiful monkeys…oops, we mean…children! All of their children have inherited the storytelling bug and have been seen in performances with their parents as well as solo. Kristy is a diverse storyteller, using old world tales (especially Italian!), fables, comic children’s stories, poetry, songs, original works and especially management methods.
