Abstract/Summary:

Beauty was a kind-hearted girl who loved her father dearly. When her father left for a trip she requested a beautiful rose as a souvenir. On his return home, her father found a lovely garden filled with red roses. He decided to pick some for Beauty, but was suddenly accosted by a great beast. Beast threatened him with death, but offered him a deal. If he were to offer him one of his daughters, Beast would set him free. The father reluctantly agreed and went home. Wanting to protect her father, Beauty decided she would live with the Beast. Beauty was frightened at first, but maintained her courage. Over time she began to see Beast for who he was and eventually fell in love. All of a sudden the Beast was no more as he transformed into a handsome prince. The Prince thanked Beauty for freeing him from the enchantment. Convinced that the Prince was indeed her Beast, she married him and they lived happily ever after.
