The Center for Digital Storytelling

Reviewed by Haley Holmes. The Center for Digital Storytelling is based at UC Berkeley and run by husband and wife, Joe Lambert and Nina Mullen. The site has areas that demonstrate the different ways technology can be used to tell stories and includes interesting tips for storytellers. Digitizing stories is presented as a cookbook with “recipes” that show you how to make memories into something that can be preserved. The site also explains what happens at the Center for Digital Storytelling and how you can be a part of it. The Digital Clubhouse is a networked community where people can share their stories and reach other members. This site is simple, but the headings on the home page do not accurately describe what lies beneath. In addition, I was unable to find a site map, which could have been helpful in making more sense of the headings. I think that the best part about the site is the Cookbook. It offers some good ideas for projects that I would like to do in the future.
