Title of the Story: The Stars in the Sky
Story Source Material: Taletype Classification of the Story: Traditional Tale Story Rating: General Audience Abstract/Summary A little girl admires the stars from her window night after night. She decides she must touch them and sets off on a quest. She encounters many enchantments on her adventure including a talking saw mill, a brooklet and fairies. The fairies tell her to seek out some ambiguous helpers that will aid her in her quest. Once she reaches her stars it is like a dream and she must determine what reality was. It is a story of determination to achieve something that seems out of reach. |
