INTRODUCTORY INFORMATION I am a native Texan, born in Dallas, and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and southern California. I have worked in libraries and bookstores since elementary school … I was meant to be a librarian. In addition to completing a doctoral degree, my goal is to publish novels for young adults, a children’s picture book, and to visit every inch of our great nation. EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Doctoral Student, Information Science
Master of Science, Library Science STORYTELLING INTERESTS I taught myself to read when I was four by memorizing the story books that my parents read to me. As a result, it is hard for me to not memorize stories. As I continue on my storytelling journey, by primary goal is to learn to tell naturally without feeling the need to have each performance be identical. I am primarily interested in animal stories, stories about outdoor adventures, and stories about hope and perseverance. MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION I am a true bibliophile, but when I am not reading I enjoy playing with my dogs, Hayley and Shayna. I also love to be outdoors, especially on the water. |
