ABSTRACT/SUMMARY OF THE STORY:

Ary is 8 years old and hopes for a better life. She and her family live in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The family is poor and so Ary works every day instead of going to school. Ary's plan is to make her wishes come true by setting a bird free. But the plan goes terribly wrong. Can she overcome her disappointment and make her wishes come true?
