Ideal candidate is high energy, plus exceptional attention to detail, is comfortable with interruptions and accomplished with multi tasking. There is direct contact with clients. Experience reading and interpreting plats, surveys, & appraisal district or parcel data is a real plus.

GIS Mapping Technician
Position Description:
As a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Mapping Technician, responsibilities are to provide mapping support for Frito-Lay's Customer Delivery Systems Team. This is a contracted permanent part-time position whose primary function is to produce route delivery maps for Frito-Lay's route re-engineering projects utilizing the MapInfo environment. Positions are set-up to work approximately 15-25 hours per week and schedules are flexible within the normal operating business hours which are Monday thru Friday 8AM-6PM. Employment is through Volt Employment Services.
Minimum Job Requirements:
* Strong PC background preferred
* Applicants should possess a sound analytical skill-set
* Ability to work proficiently within the Windows OS environment
* Experience working with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access) preferred
* Great visual skills and attention to detail a must
* Experience with MapInfo or other GIS applications helpful (will train)
* Ability to take direction, feedback and operate in a team setting
* Applicants should be able to think independently and problem solve
