The Chicano/a Latino/a Oral History Project
CLAHP is an ongoing project conducted by undergraduate students who enroll in the course Latinos in the U.S. (Anth 3100.012) taught by Dr. Mariela Nuñez-Janes. The purposes of the project are:
- Document the educational histories and contributions of Chicanos/as and Latinos/as
- Teach valuable research skills
- Collaborate with students as researchers and scholars
Over 18 teams of about 3-4 students have collected, transcribed, and presented the results of this research to national and international audiences. The interview transcripts for this project are available for research purposes, please contact Dr. Nuñez-Janes.
