When should you work the problems?
Check the syllabus for times when various sections of the book will be covered. Students are responsible the next class period for problems covering material in the previous class period. Except when announced in class, problems are not to be turned in.
It is recommended that you work through the worked examples in the text first, with the book open. Then attempt the assigned problems without thumbing back to the examples or text.

What should you do if you need help?
As many problems as possible will be covered in recitation. However, recitation time is for clarification of the principles and mechanics associated with the assigned problems. You should have worked all relevant problems prior to attending recitation.
If you are unable to work most of the problems prior to coming to recitation, GET HELP.
